Yes, it is charcoal merino wool for the Barbizon Jacket from Morehouse Farm.

I hemmed & hawed for awhile on spending the money on the yarn the pattern called for BUT, whenever I found a yarn that I liked and did the math on how much it was going to cost for 1600 yards, I kept coming back to the idea that it would only cost a little more to get the lovely merino the pattern called for...so, I destashed a couple of items online to new homes and helped a sister sell something on ebay for which I got a tidy commission so...it didn't cost me that much out of pocket. I will be casting on tonight!!

Oh I love that!!! I think I need one for next fall.
De-stashing... what is this concept you speak of? ;-) The yarn is beautiful. Since you will get a lot of use out of the sweater, I think you can justify the extra cost.
