Gorgeous Wedding
I am having issues with blogger so the photos are in random order.
My college girlfriend, Laurie, got married yesterday to Floyd.
It was a small, intimate wedding. We had to have a "chick" photo.
Four college girlfriends....Tamara, Sheryl, Laurie & I.

Cooking Sunday
I was surfing through the Food Network this morning and ran across Paula Deen's program. She made a hashbrown quiche so I decided to try it because I had hashbrowns in the freezer. Here they are before I put the filling in the crust.
The finished quiche.
I also had a bunch of bananas on the freezer that needed to be made into Banana Bread. I made a full loaf and a bunch of mini loaves.

I also made a grilled zucchini salad and some grilled flat bread.
The finished grilling.
And made into salad for lunch. The salad I made used grilled zucchini, grilled onions with some olive oil, salt, pepper, a little cayenne and pine nuts.
The quiche will be my lunch a few days this week at work and dinner tonight.

Knitting & Last Minnesota Photo
Awhile ago I knit the Flutter Scarf from some Malabrigo lace weight yarn in the color Tuareg that I got as a thank you from Suzie for some charity knitting.
Once you got the hang of it, the pattern was pretty easy and the yarn was very soft. It is now living with my sister in law, Mindy, in Maryland. I have taken it on two trips to places cool and I realized it needed a good home in a cool climate.
Final photo from Minnesota on the deck of my Mom's cabin. Me, Naomi, Mom, Hannah & Simon.

Random Wedding Shots
Split Rock Lighthouse
Are you sick of Minnesota yet?? Well, a big group of us went to Split Rock Lighthouse the morning of the wedding.
My sister, Stephanie, her daughter Beth, Hannah and my brother, Tim.
A view of the fall colors along Lake Superior.
Simon, Benjamin & Hannah leaning up against the lighthouse.
Climbing to the lighthouse top.

Duluth: Friday
Sunrise over Lake Superior.
The S.S. Irwin. We wanted to tour this ship but it was closed except for Halloween tours so we did not get to see it.
The drive up with the fall colors!
And then I saw this yarn shop!!!! I had to stop and support the local yarn shop, Playing with Yarn.
The entrance to shop.
Upstairs with all the yarn!
Downstairs...she had great yarn if only I had had more than 5 minutes to shop.
Sigh, I hoped to get back there but did not. I did get enough time to buy yarn for a scarf for the Red Scarf Project.
