Feta Cheese Buns Recipe

Cheese Buns (Housekeeping Buns)

½ c butter
¾ c milk
1 pkg. active dry yeast
3 ¼ c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 T sugar
¼ tsp. salt
3 eggs
½ lb. feta cheese, crumbled

I used my bread machine.

1. Heat 6 T of the butter and milk in a saucepan until butter melts; cool to lukewarm.

2. Pour butter milk mixture into bread machine and then add flour, yeast, sugar, salt and eggs.

3. Set for dough cycle.

4. After dough cycle is finished, let rest 10 minutes and then cut into 16 even pieces.

5. Roll out pieces into 6 inch circles, place 1 T of feta cheese in the middle and then pull up opposite sides of the circle and crimp together.

6. Place sealed side down on greased cookie sheet to rise until doubled (about 30 minutes).

7. With wooden skewer or toothpick, prick each bun several times; melt remaining butter and brush over tops of buns.

8. Bake in 375o F oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Makes 16 buns

Those rolls look fantastic! Any way to make them w/o a bread maker?
